what is a bed frame?
A bed frame (or bedstead if you want to be a little bit fancier) is the bit of the bed that supports your mattress. Some bed frames are finished in wood, others are upholstered (aka covered in fabric).
At eve, we believe a bed frame should make a stylish statement - it’s to be the centrepiece of your boudoir after all! Be it tailored elegance or a traditional wooden bed frame, our creations intend to lull you to sleep more easily.
which types of beds have storage?
Here at eve HQ, we understand the need for a dreamy sleep sanctuary to retreat to after a busy day. And that means making sure you have somewhere to hide away all the unnecessary clutter that seems to pile up in your bedroom.
Some of our divan beds are equipped with super nifty storage to help you keep clutter at bay (or at very least out of sight). Whether it’s full ottoman storage or some handy drawers on either side of the divan base, extra storage never goes amiss in the bedroom!
what size bed frame should I buy?
When choosing a bed size for your bedroom, there are several questions you’ll need to ask yourself: who will sleep in the bed? How much space do you have in your bedroom? What’s your budget? How does your mattress measure up?
If you’re shopping for a new bed frame but keeping your existing mattress – the most important thing you’ll need to figure out is what size your current mattress is. In the UK, beds and mattresses come in standardised sizes and so, finding the perfect fit should be an easy task. For more info on mattress size, our clever guide is only ever a click away.
You might want a smaller single bed for a guest room or a child’s bedroom. And an indulgent super king size bed is well suited to the master bedroom.
And for adults sleeping solo, and those teens who are rapidly turning into giants, a small double bed is a cosy choice.
But for those regularly diving under the duvet with a partner, consider whether a double bed will be enough. If you or your significant other are the proud owner of long limbs, then a king size bed or even a super king could be a much better shout.
